Financial Consultant

Environmental Steward. Creative Thinker. Community Builder.

Amber obtained her BSBA in Finance from the University of Florida with a minor in Organizational Leadership for Non-profits. She is a finance professional with over eight years of experience in strategic analysis and project management in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Amber holds a special interest in sustainable development through technological innovation and coalition building.

Amber’s career path was inspired early on by the power of grassroots leadership to rebuild sustainably after years of devastation from the BP Oil Drilling Disaster and Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav and Ike. When she served as the Project Coordinator for the Gulf Coast Fund for Community Renewal and Ecological Health, a special project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, she worked closely with local Gulf Coast leaders on the front lines of recovery and development.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Amber grew up on the beaches and rivers of the Gulf Coast. She spent her childhood outdoors with her family learning how to garden, swim, fish, kayak and hike. While prepping her mentor’s garden for the upcoming growing season, she collected seaweed on the beaches for nutrient rich fertilizer and was instantly hooked on the magic of sustainable growing. From vermi-composting in New York City, to harvesting 30 varieties of edible plants in an 8ft. x 8ft. patio garden in sunny Irvine, CA, her professional pursuits took her around the country and her love of gardening was always in tow!

In 2016, Amber joined in the dream of home ownership in Laguna Hills, California where her family now enjoys a sprawling garden of endless possibilities. Since January 2017, she has served as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Velocify where she directly aided in the successful sale of the company to SaaS leader Ellie Mae for $128M in October 2017. Prior to that, Amber served as Finance Manager for Telogis during the successful acquisition by Verizon in July 2016. Even when serving in these and other corporate roles, Amber has always been an active leader in her companies’ philanthropic and volunteer related activities, believing firmly in the importance corporate social responsibility.
